Q:

A: ah, that's an interesting one. It's pretty hard to find a match, for genevas climate is pretty even balanced. Looking at the states on the eastcost - massachusetts, connecticut, you will come closest to the weather in geneva. I would say Bridgeport CT is the best bet. make it a little colder during summer and warmer in winter; and a little less rain and you'll be in geneva. Regarding the stats, new york seems to come closest in average temerature (monthly) and rainfall - yet those stats do not concider the differences during daytime and nighttime. which is more even in connecticut IMO you can see the climate stats for geneva here: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild:Klimadiagramm-metrisch-deutsch-Genf.Schweiz.png and here: http://www.iten-online.ch/klima/europa/schweiz/genf.htm (GERMAN site, more detailed temerature, less detailed rainfall) As for living in geneva - everything is like miniature: the streets, the cars, the buildings. there's no blocks because the city is founded hourdreds of years ago. Since everything is close together - people walk more or use public transport for arround the town. The people speak french and are often regarded kind, for american standarts - as long as you go by their rules . And after the shops are closed (which is pretty erarly), the city falls asleep and waits for the next morning. Oh, and regarding the weather in geneva - it can have it's extreme spots too - have a look ;-) http://www.snopes.com/photos/natural/icestorm.asp#photo3 Matt
