How do you see getting married in Saudi ,,Is it fair for singles ?

Q: While a Muslim used to enjoy variety of social life in old ages can not now marry one lady because of life costs ,,You have to have a house and income plus Mahr in the 100,000 of rials plus housemaid(many Saudi ladies want housemaids) plus this plus that otherwise you will stay single like you are an unwanted person in Saudi ..

A: depends on the couple involved.. If you are a mature stable man with something to offer that marriage.. a good job and a home that she will be able to live in. she might not be so scared to marry you and not want that 100thousand dowry of security... If you are the sort of man that supports your wife in her efforts and the daily chores about the house, she might not need a maid or a driver also.. I myself (now married 8 wonderful years) I work and have 2 small children and I DO NOT have a driver nor a housemaid.. I have a 2level home (Allah just blessed us with, we finished building it 9months ago) and I take pride in being able to handle the whole home myself and manage my job and my children.. maybe im unique to the average girl here.. but my husband supports me totally, he helps in whatever ways he can... He takes the time off work to drive me somewhere if for some reason I couldnt get a taxi that day.. My extended family, my mother in law will sit for my children if I have an important meeting for my work. I clean my own home.. Sure with 2 small kids, it might get messy. I contain their play to just 2 rooms up and just shut the doors when guests are over and tell them to excuse those.. If I have a huge party, im not embarrased so much that I dont ask for help.. I can hire a temporary servant for the few hours that day to help me.. YES, but normally I dont need.. my marriage didnt cost my husband much.. We married in USA it cost all of around $15 to $20 US dollars.. my dowry was $60 US dollars that I turned around and handed back to my husband at the time cause we were starving university students and neither of us had the extra money anyways to spend on dowry.. We were both employed but supporting our tuition at the time.. We saved and then took our honeymoon a couple of years later (which was much more sweeter).. I love and appreciate every moment of my marriage now.. We live in SaudiArabia and both have good careers now. There are other women like me.. I know cause I am friends with them..
