Q: a saudi man wants to marry a filipina and wanted to have an approval from his ministry to have him a permission to marry this filipina lady .. what are the possible requirements?? he is not working in a government and he is over 40 years old. they wanted to marry in abu dhabi,since the filipina was working in abu dhabi. they want it to be legal,so they need to have the permission from saudi ministry or consulate.. what to do?this was the main requirement in shariah of abu dhabi...any ideas or suggestions..thanks for the reply in advance..
A: shariah of abu dhabi (as you say lol) has nothing to do with it, he has to obtain authorization from saudi ministry of interior to marry a foreigner. otherwise if he does marry you (because i belive you are the filipina lady asking the question) without the authorization you will have no legal status in saudi arabia and you will not be recognized as his wife in saudi arabia and you will not be able to come to saudi arabia with him. nowadays it is quite hard for a saudi man to marry a foreigner, it is easier for a saudi woman to marry from abroad.
