Q: Also, is it possible to see whales in the area around April? What months are best? I am interested only in agencies/services that provide service out of Victoria and/or Vancouver, not surrounding areas. Thanks.
A: The Prince of Whales is a pretty good company. They operate out of downtown Victoria I believe. They leave several times a day. They have an excellent safety record too. The summer months tend to be best, I think. That's when the greatest amounts of whales are around, so there's a better chance of seeing them. Also, it's warmer. So it's less chilly out on the water.
